Ian Hallam, a silver medallist in the world amateur pursuit in 1970, made a comeback to the sport in 1998 to ride the World Masters Track Championships at the Manchester Velodrome. Here he is on the podium after winning the pursuit in the 50-54 years age category, setting two new age group world records along the way.
Also on the podium are silver medallist Mark Rodamaker of the United States, and bronze medallist Karl Jensen of Denmark. Oh, and Hallam's daughter Lydia!.
